We’ve participated in cleaning action of the prehistoric Liburnian walls. It was a hard job but also a perfect fitness in the nature. After all it is a good feeling to do something worthwile for the community…

Long live the Quintus!!!

Dobromir (Bulgaria) is mostly focused on writing of the story about the legionnaire Quintus which is based on the real findings on archaeological site Colentum. We succeeded to create a story plot so complex that based on that plot someone can write a real history novel, hundreds of pages long. We hope that plot can be inspiration for some follow-up EVS project…

Based on the story idea young local artist Matej Šikić Balara has created the drawings of the Quintus in his three ages – young Quintus, Quintus the legionnaire and Quintus the Elder.

We decided that we’ll use this drawing in building official website of the Colentum. So far we have the concept of the site but site is still under construction.

The progress of the site you can check on: colentum.info.

Shooting in the dark :)

Anastasia helped Argonauta team in making photos of Colentum’s ruins after they have installed solar lighting now in April 2013.

Looks impressive, right?

Flowers for garbage

On the occasion of Earth Day, the traditional action of collecting waste paper was organized by Argonauta and the Primary school of Murter. Children collected waste papers and made ouf of them a map of Murters surrounding islands.

Presentation at Murter’s primary school

We presented our project at the students of Murters primary school, and raised awareness on ecological matters and the need of sustainable development of Murter island, as children are the future citizens of Murter :)

In the picture you can see us, and the final version of our model for Gradina hill.

In making of photomontages

In making of photomontages of ideas which we’ve integrated in the Management plan proposal… Anastasia (Greece) and Simone (Italy) had to climb on high pine three in order to make photo proper for Photoshoping. We have learnt how to make photo-montage from the experienced web designer and Argonauta’s local volunteer Mirta Mudronja. Bravo Mirta!

Guys we are having real adventure here!!! ;)

On arrival training, Orahovica, 8-12/4/13

Our on arrival training took place in Orahovica, a small town near Osijek, at the Red Cross center. In the 4 days we were there, we had a chance to get an in depth knowledge of our rights as EVS volunteers, our responsibilities, and how to deal with EVS in general. It was a lot of work, fun and we got the chance to meet other volunteers.

Here are some photos of us there !
